Bellbidgee Vision and Ethics
I value the health and wellbeing of all my Labradors and the puppies I produce. I only have planned litters, to carefully chosen sires who are also Main registered full pedigree dogs with the best possible hip and elbow scores, DNA tested and profiled. Each puppy is precious, and their health and wellbeing is my responsibility, therefore puppies are available only to approved homes.
The wonderful companionship that my labradors impart, motivates me and it gives me great joy in sharing them with others, whether that be through meet & greets, my Facebook page or through ethical breeding of planned litters.
My aim is to breed great Labradors that are true and correct in accordance with the Breed Standard of the Labrador Retriever.
I am a Registered Breeder with Dogs NSW, the state body of the ANKC (Australian National Kennel Council), who are the official registry body in Australia for purebred dogs, the Labrador Retriever Club of Victoria and the Labrador Retriever Club of NSW.
Being a registered member of Dogs NSW, all my labradors are hip and elbow scored, DNA tested and profiled. Every one of my labradors has a full pedigree and genealogy on the Main Register of the ANKC
As a member of the Australian National Kennel Council, I always abide by the Code of Practice and NSW legislation, as well as the National Code of Ethics of Responsible Dog Ownership and Breeding.
I am constantly striving to improve my knowledge of Labradors, the history, genetics, bloodlines, and health.
My labradors are part of my family, loved dearly, cared for to the best of my ability, and have the highest quality of life.
As an ethical breeder, I ensure that the dogs and bitches are being bred to improve the puppies that are produced by their breeding. This means careful selection of dogs and bitches that,
· Meet the breed standard of Labradors, and
· Are outstanding examples of their breed
· Have sound and correct structure, type, and movement
· Hold the true Labrador temperament and possess great personalities
· Have the appropriate health and genetic checks and clearances
· are fit and appropriate to be bred
